So, I decided that I needed to blog something...something fun.
I asked my children for a topic. This has worked in the past and I have actually had some interesting (whatever...I thought they were interesting) blog posts! So, I texted both children -- these were legit texts; Garrick is in Idaho and Natalie is upstairs!!! Natalie said, "Text about lazy people" to which I asked for her second choice to which she replied, "IDK...LOL." Not much help. Garrick said, "Text about stupid parking tickets" to which I replied that I never got a parking ticket to which he indicated "I DO!"
So, that really left me without a topic to blog about. I thought about blogging something intellectual, but then I thought I did not want to think that hard about it. I thought about writing something funny, but I my mind went completely blank. I thought about writing about my wonderful, wonderful family...but I even get tired of listening to how wonderful they are. I thought about my oh-so-great Maggie...but she is a dog, she does dog things...But I tell you this about Maggie -- Today, I was sitting in my office typing away (not really, I was probably doing anything but work) and Maggie walks in and she has an article of clothing in her mouth. I take it out wondering what the heck...it turns out it is a pair of children's, probably boys, short pants! I have not had a boy that little in about 20 years. I have some concerns! There was no body attached to the shorts, but, Maggie does dig a bit and there is a new covered-up hole in the yard -- just sayin'! I wont mention the socks that Maggie eats and then throws up...I will save that little story for another day! I could tell you all about my wonderful mini vacation to Pismo Beach a couple of weeks ago when I road a horse and laid out on the beach...but...I don't know.
So I thought I would share some random thoughts:
The Moon -- There was such a beautiful full (new? IDK, I should have paid a little more attention in school) moon a few weeks ago. I could see it from my window from my desk. I got to thinking about the moon and how it is nothing without the sun. I got to thinking that the moon needs the sun to shine, it needs the sun so people can see it, it needs the sun to survive. I think I need the sun, too.
New Shoes -- New shoes last Saturday at the mall. Buy one, get one FREE. Hello? Who would NOT get two new pairs of shoes?
Lavender Laundry Detergent -- Apparently, my skin does not think this is as great as I think it is! Thought it was! Anyone want a slightly used bottle of laundry detergent?
Speaking of laundry... I wonder when that guy is going to invent a machine that does both the washing and the drying!! I wont even ask for one that folds and puts away...baby steps.
Fall TV -- Really? Jimmy Johnson on Survivor? Really?
Allergies -- Dealing with some sinus problems again. Gotta love the fall!
Dallas Cowboys -- Really? Losing to Washington? Really? My dad, he would have LOVED that game. He would have called to let me know of his joy! (Miss you, Daddy)
Facebook -- Don't say you have a job if you don't! Don't ask me to friend you if you know I wont.
Thank you notes -- Michelle, my so-very-best friend in Stockton, borrowed some thank you notes from me...She sent me one, thanking me for the notes!!! LOL -- priceless.
Pledge Multi-Surface Cleaner -- Frickin' Genius. G. E. N. I. U. S.
Texts -- Why do I get so happy when I hear my little text chime go off?
and just because it is my blog and I can do what I wanna do --- I love my fantabulous family!!! I have the best Famn Damily EVER!! Kids call to say they love me. Brother calls to say he worries about me. Cousin texts to laugh about a FB thing. Aunt calls me just because she loves me. Husband loves me and ... he does the laundry!! Maggie is the best doggie ever!!
"From the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another", John 1:16. My blessings --- my family.
XOXOXO
