Crystal Ball

Some days I wish I could see into the future. Not for stock market quotes (although that would be a great side benefit!) but just to make sure that the decisions I am making now are the right ones. I would like to make sure that my kids really did turn out okay and those things I have done to them over the yeas (making them clean their rooms, fold the laundry, vacuum the floors, etc) did not really scar them in any way. Seeing my son go to school, go on his mission, and find that perfect girl, etc. Seeing my daughter finish high school, go onto college, and find that perfect man. Making sure that all those people who told me how great grandkids were, were not lying! I would like to see if I cut my hair, how bad would it really look. I would like to see if I did diet and work out every, single day, would it really help? I would like to know that me choosing to use re-usable grocery store bags has indeed saved a tree or two. I would like to know that if I did return to school in my 40s, what exactly would be the benefit.

Things I Love: said...

I'm with you on that one. I also wonder if my parenting skills are up to par. How will it affect my children in the future. Are there more things I could be doing. I'm sure there are. And is the love you show your kids enough? As far as going back to school... I think there is nothing wrong with some self improvement. That's how I look at it for myself. Good luck

Well, I have a big Crystal ball but it has never worked for me! I guess I am glad that I don't have one cause some of the things that happen in our lives we wouldn't want to see them coming. I'm for just taking it a day at a time!
