My beautiful daughter, Natalie, was nominated to be Winterfest Duchess 2008 at her school. I guess the teachers nominate the students and then the student body gets to vote. There were three freshman nominated for this duchess award. Natalie did not win. I think I was more disappointed than she was. I really wanted her to win. She is beautiful and fun and funny and warm and good-hearted and sincere. She was okay with not winning and said it was an honor to just to be nominated. I am very proud of her for being such a wonderful person. She certainly has taught me an important lesson. I love her.
